Minions: The Rise of Gru is the first animated film to gross $200 million at the domestic box office since Disney’s Frozen II in 2019.

The film, which is one of many pandemic-delayed projects originally slated for 2020, is the fifth entry in the Despicable Me Film franchise that introduced the world to the little yellow fools known as Minions.
