The Hollywood Reporter explained the possibility of Evans being Captain America again. However, the actor himself responded to the publication, noting, “Sam Wilson is Captain America.” He also indicated that he would like to play the role of the human torch The fantastic Four again. Something Evans didn’t deny, although he didn’t confirm it was a second appearance in the film. Chris Evans in Captain America 4 could appear as Steve Rogers, third age version. This version was seen at the end of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019). He could appear as a supporting character who advises Falcon in a difficult moment.

Nigerian-born filmmaker Julius Onah is taking on the position of director. This filmmaker has already been responsible for several films such as The Girls Are In Trouble (2015), Brilliance (2016), The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) and Luke (2019). The director saw his career boosted thanks to the latter film, which certainly stemmed from his hiring for that film.
His first films were not all successful. For example, 2015’s The Girls is in Trouble had mixed opinions from audiences and critics. It received a 57% rating on the Rotten Tomatoes website. The public thinks it was a regular movie, fine, but it didn’t have that much impact. The Cloverfield Paradox had strong reviews. Many called it an ordinary film with nothing special.
Director Onah’s Rebound would come with Luce’s production, which was released in 2019. This film would jumpstart his career, garnering critical acclaim and multiple Indie Spirit Award nominations. Among the nominations, he would receive the Best Director category.
Although he has no experience with superhero films, he seems to have the necessary qualifications. Onah is known to have experience in the sci-fi world such as: brilliance and luce. Based on this experience and recent success at Luce, he was rehired for them Captain America Movie.
Chris Evans in Captain America 4
As stated by Evans, the shield passed to Sam Wilson, represented by actor Anthony Mackie. Steve Rogers handed him the baton at the end Avengers: Endgame (2019). Disney+ cemented that role in the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
We’ve seen Wilson fight between Falcon and Captain America and how Bucky helped him deal with that duality and other enemies. By the end of the series, Wilson would embrace his role as Captain America and combine it with his Falcon suit to form the new cap.
It’s worth noting that we spotted the new Sam Wilson wearing his suit at a Disney event on one of his cruises. This appearance fought Ultron clones. With the company of other heroes like Captain Marvel and Miss Marvel. This cameo appearance could mean that Disney is already promoting the new character with its attractions.
The production status

The film is currently in pre-production. Dalan Musson is writing the storyline for this film. Neither Marvel nor Disney have announced a possible release date or what other characters we would have in this new Marvel adventure.
However, we already have some interesting facts. Chris Evans in Captain America 4 is yet to be seen passing the baton to Sam Wilson, who we saw in the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier. This new hero will wear his Falcon suit, with the adaptation of Captain America’s shield and colors as featured on the show.
We’ll see what touch director Julius Onah brings to this film given his background in sci-fi movies. Captain America is a very important character for the MCU, so this transition should be done in an appropriate manner. Hopefully Marvel Studios will take the time and invest the resources necessary to create a product that does justice to the character.
