Sony Pictures has announced the new comedy movie starring Jennifer Lawrence No hard feelings will arrive next summer according to the deadline. The studio has revealed that the R-rated comedy is out The office and Good boys Director Gene Stupnitsky will be released on June 16, 2023 as an adult-focused counterpart to the upcoming Pixar Elemental original animated film. Little is actually known about the project, other than that it’s been billed as an “R-rated comedy with a heart.” In addition to directing, Stupnitsky co-wrote the film with John Phillips (Dirty grandpa), no other cast members have been officially confirmed, but Lawrence will also serve as a producer on the project.

Last years Don’t look up was the first film starring Oscar-winner Lawrence since her last appearance in Dark Phoenix in 2019. After a tumultuous few years with multiple projects, starring in three films a year from 2011 to 2014, Lawrence took some time off, getting married in October 2019 and welcomed their first child into the world in February 2022. Despite three Oscar nominations and her only win, Lawrence was on the receiving end of several critically panned films in a row, one of the reasons she withdrew from the public spotlight for a while.

“It’s so hard because your brain has changed so much in the last ten years, from your teens through your 20s to entering your 30s,” Lawrence previously told Netflix’s Queue about her break from acting. “You don’t really feel a thing like fame because it happens to She. It’s impossible to digest. You need to [process] everything as it goes: Okay, this person treats me like this. These people follow me. I can’t say things like that in interviews anymore. Having an artistic outlet has been so helpful to me during this time trying to adjust to this strange life while also trying to please my parents and all the normal things that come with growing into your twenties . I’m so happy I had the structure of The hunger Games and X-Men focus on that and put a lot of that energy into it. I then came out and thought: What is life? what is all this I do not know. When I look back on it, it’s impossible to understand.”

Lawrence has few other projects lined up any time soon, many of which were filmed before she became pregnant. She should appear Red, White and Water from A24 and is also set to play Elizabeth Holmes, CEO of Theranos, in a new film directed by Adam McKay.
