For those longing for the blockbuster video days, they can find a little slice of nostalgia by visiting the Fly Vintage & Vinyl Store in Robbinsdale.

In front of the store, on the 3900 block of 36th Avenue North, is a blue newspaper vending machine that says “Free Blockbuster.” No pages and ink inside; Instead, it serves as a box for sharing and renting movies with DVDs you might have found in an old blockbuster, similar to the little free libraries you’ll find in the Twin Cities.

The box was set up in front of the vinyl store this week, according to the Free Blockbuster Robbinsdale Facebook page. Travis Stone, who came up with the idea for the lending library, said the box “moves movies in and out to keep them fresh.”
