After the world premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, South African supernatural horror film Good wife (Mlungu Wam) will continue to stream now Shudder.

Good wife actually came to Shudder yesterday if we’re technical here.

in the Good wife, “Tsidi, a single mother, is forced to move in with her estranged mother, Mavis, a live-in maid who obsessively takes care of her catatonic white ‘madam.’ However, as Tsidi tries to heal her family, a dark specter begins to stir.”

“A genre film anchored in the everyday horrors of our society, Good Madam explores the generational trauma inherent in South African culture, spanning from the past to the present, with chilling performances and haunting outcomes,” teases Shudder.

Written and directed by Jenna Cato Bass and co-written by Babalwa Baartmannthe movie stars Chumisa Cosa, Nosipho Mtebe, Kamvalethu Jonas Raziya, Sanda Shandu, Khanyiso Kenqa, Sizwe Ginger Lubengu, Siya Sikawuti, Peggy Tunyiswa and Chris Gxalaba.


The directorial debut of Charlotte ColbertIFC Midnight and Shudders she will is presented by the manufacturer Dario Argentoand it’s now playing in select theaters and on digital.

There she discovers that the process of such an operation raises questions about her existence, leading her to begin to question and confront past trauma.

“The two form an unlikely bond while mysterious powers give Veronica the power to exact revenge in her dreams.”

Eberhardt appeared X-Men: Dark Phoenixand co-stars alongside Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Rob Zombie’s Halloween), Rupert Everett (Dark city, the happy prince), Jon McCrea (Cruella) and Amy Manson (The Nevers).


Black Phone Vod and American Carnage

Saban Films brings American carnage hitting theaters today, on demand and digital, with a cast led by a fan-favorite Scream 2022 and “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega.

The film was rated an “R” for “some disturbing violence and gore,” a bit of which can be seen in the trailer. American carnage seems to mix “social thriller” aspects with the full horror mayhem of something like that the facultywhich should make for a fun mix.

“After a governor issued an executive order to arrest the children of undocumented immigrants, the newly incarcerated juveniles are being offered the opportunity to have their charges dropped by volunteering to care for the elderly. Upon entering the aged care facility, the volunteers discover that the governor and facility manager have hatched a horribly depraved conspiracy that puts young and old alike in peril in this twisted thriller comedy.”

Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jenna Ortega, Allen Maldonado, Bella Ortiz, Jorge Diaz, Yumarie Moralesand Catherine McCafferty star, with Brett Cullen and Eric Dane also in the cast.


gone in the night winona ryder

Formerly titled The cowhas published Vertical Entertainment Gone in the night a new horror film starring the main roles in selected cinemas this weekend Winona Ryder (“Stranger Things”).

Gone in the night then coming to Digital and On Demand on August 2nd.

John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane), Dermot Mulroney (The courier), Owen Teague (It franchises) and Brianne Tue (47 meters down: Uncaged) also act in the film.

In the film, “Kath (Ryder) and her boyfriend (Gallagher Jr.) arrive at a remote cabin in the redwoods, only to find a mysterious younger couple already there.

“The rent has apparently been double booked and since they have nowhere else to go they decide to share the cabin with these strangers. When her boyfriend disappears with the young woman, Kath becomes obsessed with finding an explanation for their sudden breakup – but the truth is far stranger than she could have ever imagined.”

Eli Horowitz (“Homecoming”) directed the co-written film Matthew Derby.
